You can block almost any distraction apps on your iPhone - including social media, games, news, and more. Phone calls and emergency functions will still work as required by Apple.
You can also block some websites in Safari based on Apple’s pre-set list. Other browsers don’t support this feature yet :(
Plus, you can create different blocking modes for times like work, family time, sleep, travelling or exercise - so you’re always focused on what matters most.
Don’t worry! You’ll still be able to use the app. We include 5 emergency unshifts in the app that will unblock everything if needed.

Yes, you can connect your Shift to more than one phone, but for the best experience, we recommend one Shift per person.
Download the Shift app from the App Store, connect your Shift device following simple steps shown during onbording, and select apps you want to block.
Yes! You can activate Shift mode directly from the app by holding the button in the app for a few seconds. This lets you block distractions even if your device isn't nearby.
To unblock, you’ll still need the physical Shift device.
Open the Shift app, go to mode and choose the needed one. From there, select any apps you want allowed/blocked when using Shift mode.
